Giving Tuesday was an idea born in 2012 as a way to champion giving back to the world after Black Friday weekend. Fast forward eleven years and the initiative has grown into a global movement that enables millions of people to support causes everywhere.
Giving Tuesday is on Tuesday 28th November 2023.
In partnership with the Monsoon Accessorize Trust, we’ll be donating 15% of all UK web sales (excluding VAT) to WaterHarvest.
WaterHarvest is a not-for-profit organisation that’s been providing clean-water solutions to rural communities in India and Sub-Saharan Africa for over 35 years. They specialise in catching and storing rainwater with special rooftop harvesting systems to provide clean, year-round drinking water. Sharing their knowledge and experience, they work with vulnerable communities to enable them to make a livelihood and encourage sustainable land regeneration that works for the community.
WaterHarvest is a charity we trust, admire and have supported many times before. When we say they are truly transforming lives, we mean it. Over 2000 villages now have access to clean water, benefiting more than two million people.
The money we raise will help WaterHarvest build rainwater harvesting systems for schools in Rajasthan.
Clean water at school means no precious learning time spent fetching water from afar, and more class time + better health = a better education and future.
£2,750 can build one school a rainwater harvesting system.
This generates 200,000 litres of clean water.
That’s enough for 500 children for their school years.
