Marisa Martins Styles SS19

SS19 has arrived – and it’s brought a spectrum of colour with it. To decipher the hues of the new season, we’ve called upon Marisa Martins, fashion and travel blogger, to show us how she’ll be wearing its key pieces in our latest street style series, as well as offering up her personal style hacks in an exclusive Q&A.

How would you describe your personal style?

I would say it’s simple and feminine with interesting silhouettes.

What are your favourite pieces from the shoot and why?

I love the red midi dress. It’s bold, fun and really versatile to style.

Which SS19 trends are you most excited about?

I really like elements of the utility trend. The shapes, details, cuts, earthy tones and the massive pockets on everything – which means more space for more stuff! It’s a trend that’s all about comfort and practicality, and I’m all for it.

Tell us your top style hacks for SS19…

With so many bright colours, shapes, patterns and textures coming this SS19, I’d say have fun and explore your style. But with that in mind, if you don’t love it, don’t buy it. That way your wardrobe will always be true and relevant to you.

What is your top tip for wearing bold colour?

Choose one bold item (a piece that will accent or highlight the part of your body that you love) then keep the rest of your outfit muted in colour.
