3 Ways To Wear: Prints

From statement florals to resort stripes, we show you the ways to wear prints now and right through spring and summer.

Power Poppies

Left: Poppy Print Jacket, £59 | Campbell Stripe Bardot Top, £29 | Poppy Print Trousers, £45 | Right: Chiffon Trim Waterfall Cardigan, £45 |  Poppy Wrap Dress, £59 | Pandora Mini Tote Bag, £29 | Norah T-Bar Jewel Trim Sandal, £39

Florals are, as always, a key print for spring and summer, and this season they’re making an even bigger impact in the shape of power poppies. Oversized and precision-placed, these bold blooms are given extra emphasis with striking colour combinations of navy, red and white that feel ever-relevant for warmer weather. Play up to their statement style credentials with a softly-tailored suit worn with nautical stripes or – for a more feminine feel – choose a printed wrap dress and colour-block accessories.

Statement Spots

Left: Sofia Spot Tie-Front Top, £39 | Fran Flannel Trousers, £49 | Gwen Tassel Loafer, £45 | Right: Ada Sparkle Knitted Cami, £29 | Taylor Spot Print Pleated Skirt, £49 |

Spots are renewed for the season ahead, with a focus on double-layered dots, clean edges, and classic colour palettes. The print retains its wearability for both work and weekends, translating itself easily across key wardrobe staples, from twist-front tops to pleated midi skirts. The key here is let them do all the talking with simple styling – think pared-back pieces in co-ordinating colours.

Resort Stripes

Left: Jumpsuit – coming soon | Right: Roz Stripe Jumpsuit, £69 | Suede & Leather Bag, £39 | Emma Block Heel Mule, £49

Taking their inspiration from luxe French Riviera styling, resort stripes re-emerge as one of the most wearable prints for the warmer months.  This season, however, this sartorial favourite takes on a more modern feel through fresh silhouettes – namely the jumpsuit. Look out for wide-leg styles with vertical pattern placements, and wear them with classic red and navy accessories for a new take on Breton chic.
